The small villages of
Pepin, Stockholm, Alma, and Maiden
Rock offer the most scenic views of Wisconsin's Mississippi river
valley area. There are magnificent bluffs that border the Great
River Road and the area is abundant with eagles and other wildlife.
When you come to visit,
one of the first things you'll notice is how peaceful
the area is. There are no traffic jams and crime is
mostly nonexistent. The pace is slower and people are
friendly and helpful. Many people choose to retire in
the area for these reasons.
